Our Love Story

Our story began on May 26, 2019, when a mutual friend introduced us. What started as simple conversations through Instagram quickly grew into something special. As we got to know one another, we discovered a connection that felt genuine, effortless, and worth pursuing.

After months of building a friendship and growing closer, on October 29, 2019, Derelle officially asked Sydnee to be his girlfriend. Neither of us could have known then just how much our lives would become intertwined, but from that moment forward, we began building a foundation rooted in love, commitment, and friendship.

As the years passed, we graduated college and stepped into our careers, supporting one another through every new chapter. Life wasn’t always easy. Our relationship has endured trials, heartbreak, loss, and moments that tested our strength. Yet through every challenge, we chose each other again and again. We learned the true meaning of patience, forgiveness, faith, and unconditional love.

Alongside the difficult seasons came countless blessings—memories filled with laughter, joy, growth, and dreams of the future. Through every high and low, God continued to guide our path and strengthen our bond.

In August 2024, we took the next step in our journey when we got engaged, promising forever to one another. Then, in January 2026, we reached another milestone by purchasing our first home together—a dream that represented not just a house, but the life we have worked so hard to build.

Today, as we prepare to become husband and wife on February 27, 2027, we look back with grateful hearts. Every lesson, every challenge, every victory, and every moment has brought us to this day. Our love story is not perfect, but it is ours—a story written with faith, perseverance, grace, and a love that continues to grow stronger with each passing year.

We are so thankful to share this special chapter with our family and friends and cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of our forever.
